Inspired by Firefly and Dwarf Fortress Ludeon Studios managed to create an unexpectedly approachable and incredibly deep sci-fi colony sim. A procedural game with a clever and adaptable interface, lots of crafting, a ground-breaking AI storyteller, and unique colonists.
Welcome to The Indie Bros
Hi! Thanks for checking out our site! We’re here to help Indie Game developers do what they do best, develop. We offer a wide range of services that allow developers to focus on making great games!
What We Do
QA
We have experience with both finding the bugs and setting up the systems that allow testers, players, and the development team to communicate about and prioritize the bugs and suggestions.
Community Management
Whether your community is just starting out or is well established, The Indie Bros can help grow and cultivate communities of every size, from under 100 users to more than a million registered accounts.
Marketing
Let us connect you with the right members of the press as well as the right Youtube LPers to give you the best chance of being heard. We’ll also help you hone your message so that what is truly unique and interesting about your game comes through in as brief a fashion as possible.
Business Development
We’ll do the necessary research and legwork to help you determine the best release date for your game, based on what’s going on in the market. We can also help you determine what the optimal price for the game is, and if/when discounts should occur.
Design
Need a bit more content, or need numeric balance work on existing content? Need extra lines of dialogue, or your story shored up? We can help with those things, too!
How we work
The Indie Bros Team

Josh Knapp
Co-Founder, Financial Officer, QA & Community Management Specialist
Josh started doing community management with chess.com; where he helped grow the community from several hundred thousand user accounts to more than two million. Later, he moved on to Arcen Games; largely doing community management and QA while there. He also got design credits on three titles while at Arcen. Josh also spent time working in the QA department at Funcom; working on their MMO title LEGO Minifigures Online and the mobile port of “The Longest Journey”.
He is also a big sports fan and spends time off cheering on the Detroit Tigers, Michigan Wolverines and bringing up his two boys to do the same.

Erik Johnson
Co-Founder, General Manager, PR & Marketing Specialist
Erik graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Theater Arts and has since pursued a career as a writer and filmmaker in Los Angeles. He has worked in the LAUSD school system, for marketing agency DEI Worldwide, and as a freelancer for various print and online press outlets before discovering a desire to play, share, and create video games for a living. Wearing both the industry journalist and developer hat, he fancies himself an evangelist of indie games in general and the amazing community behind it.
He currently resides in Washington State with his wife Spring, daughter Gwen and son Julian; where he continues to pursue (and juggle) all his various labors of love.

Craig Davies
Storefront Specialist and Marketing Analyst
Born in South Wales, Craig has been a fan of gaming since he first started playing Pong as a child and throughout many different eras of videogames, from the ZX Spectrum through to the Dreamcast and beyond. After witnessing the lows and highs of his favorite game developer’s struggles in the games industry, and volunteering to help out with both marketing and development, he gained a fascination with figuring out how best to make a difference. To this end, you’ll find him researching many versatile areas of the industry including platform visibility, release scheduling, advertising, public relations, press contacts and any other areas required.
When away from work, you’ll find Craig enjoying retro gaming, classic cinema, and oldie music. All things old-school.

Kellie Sheridan
Social Media Specialist
After a decade working in the world of indie publishing, Kellie loves spending her time finding new ways to use online tools to benefit small creators. She is passionate about learning and loves to explore the ways that people connect online and through games.
Kellie lives in Ontario, Canada, and when not endlessly scrolling through Twitter or TikTok, she is usually relaxing with her dogs, making endless lists, or collecting new houseplants that she’s not entirely sure how to take care of.

Dayton Heywood
QA Specialist
Dayton Heywood is a graduate of Algonguin College’s Game Development program. He is experienced in many facets of game development, taking on the role as designer, programmer, 3d modeler, tester and others. Dayton’s passion for games is what drove him to pursue professional work surrounding the gaming world and works at Indie Bros to pursue that endeavor.
When he isn’t working, Dayton is usually working on code projects and playing online games with friends.

Jacki Duggan
Marketability Specialist
Born in Tri-Cities Washington, you can often find Jacki digging and researching several aspects of the gaming industry. She helps find your spot in the sea of games that get released.
In her off time, she enjoys theatre, singing, and her family. She’s currently getting her BA in Theatre Studies at Central Washington University.

Steven Mueller
Head of Video & Streaming Services
Steven, better known as Bumpy McSquigums, has been a content creator on YouTube and Twitch for over 6 years. He has worked several jobs since High School from retail, to telecommunications & networking, to loading trailers, to delivery driver, to radio, before finally setting his sights on the gaming industry.
As a life long gamer, it was his inability to work while going through immigration from the US to Canada that made him start on YouTube. He loves bringing light to the games he plays and shares his experiences with them every day. He currently resides in New Brunswick with his wife Kim, and their pupperz Katie. You can always find him trying to dig himself out from under his mountain of backlogged games and coverage he’s trying to get through.

Chris Lee
Video Content Specialist
Born in Hollywood California, Chris Lee has spent most of his childhood and adult life traveling the world. He graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Humanities and a minor in Psychology. He has two passions in life and that’s old school games and his charity work. Using comedy and social media, he ran a campaign that fed children in all fifty states.
When he isn’t working for The Indie bros, you can find him crabbing or crayfishing on a body of water with no technology.

Damien Smith
Mock Reviewer & Video Producer
Born in Laois, Ireland, Damien Smith first picked up video games at the age of 3 with the C64 and has never put them down since.
From 2015-2017 he contributed to gaming website GameSkinny.com before returning to his YouTube to continue his journalism independently. He uses his critical analysis experience to help developers find potential flaws and improve their games with mock reviews. When he isn’t working for the IndieBros, you can find him spending time with his partner Karen and their family; reviewing indie games on his YouTube channel, cooking & writing among many other interesting and hobbies.

Timothy Wetzel
Outreach Correspondence & Event Coordination Specialist
Currently living in North Carolina, Timothy grew up in Oregon with a passion for videogames and technology. He taught himself the tools of the IT trade and tried being a creator before joining Indie Bros to give indie developers a hand at getting their game out to the wider market. While he always wanted to create games during school, he found that assisting developers was far more rewarding.
When not working for Indie Bros, he’s playing games with friends, experiencing the latest in VR, tinkering with gadgets and trying to find his place in Indie Game advocacy and political activism in general.

Mike Coletta
Client Relations
Mike graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Creative Writing. For the last eight years, he’s worked as a professional stand-up comedian, touring the country performing at various clubs and festivals. Mike also spent time in the legal, non-profit, writing, and social media fields.
Now, he uses his creative experience and lifelong passion for video games to help indie developers break into the mainstream. Mike currently resides in Washington State with his girlfriend, Katy, and her cat Delilah—who tolerates him.
